Get ready to Transform!
One of my favourite and most used quotes is “Speed is the new currency” We believe technology can help to deliver this speed to our clients. This is WHY we’re passionate about technology and its power to enable progress. This is WHY we stay on the forefront of emerging technology, especially technologies creating bold new possibilities and disrupting the status quo. We bring the future to you and become a catalyst for innovation. We know that the only way to keep pace with the future is to focus on disruptive innovation and become an enabler for change. HOW do we deliver this technology to our customers? Our hand-picked IT specialists are at the heart of our service to customers. People who live and breathe IT. Through years of experience, they’re able to make the very best of your IT infrastructure, no matter what stage it’s at. Working with you, they’ll discover the best way to start, grow or virtualize your business. ITQ’s added value to your business is our ability to develop an IT strategy with you, create an informed plan and implement the technology, suiting both your IT- and business-needs.
Another phrase I like is: “Power is gained by sharing knowledge, not hoarding it”. We invest heavily in knowledge of our specialists. For example, we attended VMworld with almost the entire team, making it a big success for us. Sharing this knowledge is one of our values too. That’s why we’re organizing a free event, called Transform! on November 21st in Mereveld, Utrecht. Here, we share our views and knowledge on various topics: Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC), End-User Computing (EUC), Hybrid Cloud (HC), Cloud-Native Apps (CNA) and IT Transformation Services (ITTS) will be covered in separate technical and business tracks, filling up the agenda for the afternoon and early evening. I like to invite you to join us; you can sign up here. We implement the known and explore the unknown; let’s explore new things together at Transform!
Francisco Perez van der Oord
In the last couple of years, we organised an event called Technical Update Session for our (mostly) technical community. Since IT Transformation Services, that community has become richer with the addition of non-technical audience. Our new Transform! event is centered around our complete community with both technical as well as business sessions. Register today to reserve your seat at the newest Digital Transformation event with (international) industry-leading speakers.
Digital Workspace Transformation
When thinking about Digital Transformation, one of the most common topics that is involved, is the Digital Workspace. Quite often, we see companies struggling in creating a business case and defining a clear “Why” behind the transformation to a Digital Workspace. The result in most cases, is a failed project. Our ITTS-lead Paul Legierse is a Digital Workspace Transformation specialist and explains what we do different when engaging such a project.
August and September were exciting months for Team ITQ. The biggest reasons were of course the VMworld conferences that were organised by VMware in Las Vegas and Barcelona. Our team attended both and kept you updated through our VMworld news site. In case you missed it, every blog post, video and news item is still available for you to check out.
Cloud Foundry Summit
From the 10th until the 12th of October, our team will visit the Cloud Foundry Summit in Basel, Switzerland. Cloud Foundry Summit is an annual event on which Cloud-Native Applications and the development, delivery and platform take the centre stage. Our Cloud-Native partner Pivotal is one of the Platinum Sponsors of the event and will be joined by other sponsors like Google, IBM and VMware.
VMware Cloud Foundation Roadshows
One of the most discussed topics during VMworld 2017, was the evolved Software-Defined Data Center solution called VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF). VCF is a complete platform (hardware, software and automation) that simplifies deployment, scalability and lifecycle management. Jeroen Quak and Johan van Amersfoort will be presenting about this new solution that is based on VMware Validated Designs at a series of roadshows throughout The Netherlands.
Where to find us in the upcoming months
On November 2, 2017 a new technical community event will be organised called the VMware End-User Computing TechCon (vEUC TechCon). Johan van Amersfoort will be one of the speakers and he will talk about integrating VMware Horizon with Identity Manager. Registration is still open and can be done here.
Also on November 2, 2017, our Hybrid Cloud and IT TS Technical Officer Jeffrey Kusters will be one of the speakers at the annual Data & Cloud Expo in The Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. He will present a session on Cloud computing beyond Opex savings – How to create real business value with an enterprise-ready hybrid cloud. Registration is still open and can be done here.
Our Cloud-Native Platform Specialist Christiaan Roeleveld will visit dotGO, the 4th edition of The European Go Conference in Paris on November 7. A conference completely dedicated to the open source Go programming language. Would you like to join him and 600 other “Gophers” at the beautiful Théâtre de Paris?
