What started as a request to provide training on mobile device management, ended up in us helping Gemeente Haarlem to roll-out a new secure Cloud Workplace to make employees more mobile, more productive and more able to serve the local community.
Gemeente Haarlem’s outdated digital workplace could not fully support working from home or public places where employees needed to work. ITQ assisted to modernize its workplace and started at the data center – reducing management costs and improving flexibility for employees.
The new Cloud Workspace solution means staff can work securely, any time, any place and from any device. They can easily share and synch documents, making collaboration much easier and they have more flexibility to do more outside of the office, improving their ability to connect with the local people they serve.
This project resulted in 1,350 employees who were enabled to work remotely within 3 months!
Robert Hellings, CEO of ITQ, about the collaboration with the Municipality of Haarlem:
“We have a very good partnership with the municipality of Haarlem and we have been involved in this project from day one. We have created the IT strategy together, drafted a plan of action and implemented this as a team.”
“In this, we acted as a kind of extension of the internal IT department, with the knowledge and experience they needed to take the next step. And although technical quality is an important foundation, our top priority was employee satisfaction. This is also an important basis in our change approach to digitizing the workplace, in which we pay special attention to the means of the end users in the change that is taking place and in which space is given for making improvements in response to their feedback.
This streamlined approach, per department and with the users at the forefront, has resulted in a carefree migration of 1500 workstations and connecting 2000 users.”
