How (the ITQ approach) 

At ITQ, we are aware that purchasing services from the cloud is a complicated, dynamic and, possibly, unfathomable matter. It concerns the selection of services and/or parties on the one hand, but on the other hand there’s also the transfer of the current service provision to the cloud without causing interruptions to business operation or the manner in which end users must be included in the change.

ITQ always starts these types of processes with a discovery workshop in which we explore questions such as:

• What are the objectives of your (IT) organisation?
• What are the intended objectives when relocating and/or obtaining services from the cloud?
• To what extent would your organisation still want to influence what is obtained from the cloud?
• What time schedule, including which dependencies in relation to any other projects, does your organisation have in mind in relation to the transition?

Based on the discovery workshop, we work together to set up various plans, with periodical agreement and/or feedback from stakeholders. This concerns technical plans for the realisation and transition, as well as plans in the area of change management, such as the manner in which users are involved and the safeguarding of the transition within your IT organisation.

These plans provide a more solid basis, with additional support from ITQ if necessary, in order to facilitate the transition to the cloud.

• The organisation will be in a position to use the cloud service quickly, using process description and good internal communication.
• We provide advice in relation to the manner in which newly developed services can be put into production quickly and easily.
