This special ITQ Newsletter is totally dedicated to the VMworld 2017 conferences. The conferences will take place in August and September in which Las Vegas and Barcelona will be the home of the biggest Virtualization events on the planet. With this Newsletter we would like to inform you about the conferences and what ITQ will be doing there.
With over 30 ITQ Consultants attending at either one of the conferences we are again breaking our own attendee record. We are also very proud of the fact that we are on stage presenting at both of the conferences. We have attended VMworld conferences since 2005 and a lot has changed ever since.
The conference has long gone past the vSphere stage, we have entered the Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) Era and VMware has contributed massively on that journey. VMware has added Network and Storage virtualization to their proposition to complete the SDDC, combined with the vRealize Suite they have really lifted the automation level within the Datacenter.
VMware has also contributed to the modern Workspace we are seeing today. The so-called “iPad generation” will soon hit the market. With VMware Workspace ONE, companies can really make a difference and be ready for the next generation of users.
The VMware on AWS proposition, VMware Cloud Foundation and the VMware Cloud-Native initiatives sort-of complete the direction the company is going. We are really excited to go to both Las Vegas and Barcelona and meet the VMware community, talk to the VMware experts and have some Burgers and Tapas while we are there.

VMworld 2017: What to expect?
It’s mid summer and for us as ITQ consultants it means that it’s the time of the year to start planning VMworld. The session catalogs are live and events around VMworld are being planned by vendors. In this post we would like to give you an idea of some of the things that we are really looking forward to.

Our colleague Sidney Laan will attend VMworld for the first time. As an EUC specialist he is looking forward to a lot of new EUC announcements and content, but also some new things to extend his knowledge on other products. He created a list of sessions that he is really looking forward to.
