VCF 9 is general available. And it’s more than just a version update. It’s a fundamental overhaul of how you manage your private cloud. For IT teams, architects, and IT managers, now is the time to revisit your private cloud strategy.

What’s new in VCF 9?

  • Uniform Private Cloud Management Platform

With VCF 9, you work from one central GUI and one API to manage your entire private cloud stack. A unified Single Sign-On and fewer separate consoles for the SDDC manager, Aria Suite, and vCenter.

Result: fewer errors, faster operations, and a consistent management experience.

  • Central Automation and Operation

VCF 9 introduces Fleet Management with central Automation and VCF Operations. A shared management and automation environment across all VCF instances.

Result: less switching between applications, faster insights, and a consistent management experience.

  • New deployment, import, and upgrade capabilities

With the introduction of Fleet Management come new import and upgrade capabilities for existing VCF Workload domains and standalone vSphere environments.

Result: simple upgrades and scalability towards VCF 9.

  • New license management method

Broadcom introduces clearer product bundles and a uniform license management method with a central overview of VCF 9 licenses. Each environment must automatically validate licenses twice a year.

No validation = risk of functionality loss. ITQ helps you set this up and monitor it.

  • VCF 9 readiness checker

ITQ has developed a tool for VCF 9 to assess whether your environment is ready for the upgrade.

 Why act now?

“We hear from many customers that they struggle with fragmented management and too many types of management tools. VCF 9 solves both problems, but only if implemented properly.” – Erik Verbruggen (Chief Architect)

Delaying the upgrade can lead to higher TCO, compliance risks, and loss of support for older versions. Upgrading with ITQ means: fewer risks, less manual work, better compliance.

This is how ITQ helps you move forward

  • Readiness Check: full assessment + interpretation of VMware tools
  • Upgrade Plan: timeline, license check, rollback plan
  • Implementation: hands-on support up to production
  • License Advice: SKU selection, contract advice, and compliance alerts
