What is Omnissa Workspace ONE?

Workspace ONE is a digital workplace solution developed by Omnissa that enables IT managers to supply and manage the applications, anywhere and on any device, that employees need to do their work.  Workspace ONE integrates access checking, application management and multi-platform endpoint management in one easily monitored and centrally administered platform. Workspace ONE is only available as a cloud service. 

As a user, you can compare the platform with a virtual desktop where your cloud, web, and Windows applications are combined. It is a workplace accessible from various locations and devices where you have access to the applications and data you need to complete all your tasks. 

Important functionalities of Workspace ONE

The core of Workspace ONE consists of various functionalities for User Experience and IT management. Take, for example:
Single sign-on
With single sign-on, you provide your users with easy access to all their applications, regardless of whether they are located in the cloud, on the web or on the physical premises. Workspace ONE does this by integrating the Active Directory, LDAP, Workspace ONE’s own internal directories and external IdPs. 
Add apps and new employees
Verify an employee through the Intelligent Hub or give him or her direct access to a personal library with all the relevant apps. 
Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
The platform works perfectly in conjunction with Omnissa’s own multi-factor authentication, but is also compatible with MFA solutions from third parties such as Microsoft Authenticator, RSA SecurID, Symantec, Imprivata, Go and many others. Are the user and the device already known? If so, then a user can unlock the device using a PIN code or biometric feature (such as a fingerprint or iris scan) and use the installed applications for the period the authentication is active. 
Retain mobility with bring-your-own devices (BYODs)
In traditional IT environments, employees often find it difficult or even impossible to use their preferred devices. With the Intelligent Hub from Workspace ONE, you can register your BYODs and make them fully functional without compromising on security.

Integrated endpoint management
If you opt for Workspace ONE, you no longer have to switch between different tools, systems and administrative environments when managing endpoints. From now on, you will manage all your mobile devices, laptops, desktops and IoT devices from one central environment! So well organised! 
Intrinsic security
With Workspace ONE, you benefit from intrinsic and high-value security that corresponds with the principles of zero trust. This means that, in principle, you distrust your users and devices at the start of each interaction and check them meticulously for security and reliability. With Workspace ONE, you can activate the conditional access control in different devices and applications quickly and easily. It is also possible to set up unique access requirements and develop policy for identity and access management for each application. This dramatically reduces the risk of unauthorised access and data leaks. 
Powerful analyses
Workspace ONE allows you to aggregate and correlate valuable data throughout your entire digital work environment. In this way, powerful analyses are within reach. Advanced AI and these analytics allow you to automate frequently occurring IT tasks and further improve the user experience.
