ITQ sessions on this event

This ITQ'ers will give a session during the VMUGNL UserCon 2025

Delivering real-world business value with our turn-key AI solutions

AI is like high school s*x. Everyone is talking about it, but no one is doing it. Well, we are doing it. And doing it very different. Last year, we introduced the world to Project Einstein, our own virtual ITQer. With the support of our partners VMware, NVIDIA, and Dell, this R&D project showed the true potential of (conversational) AI in our own AI Lab. With the birth of Einstein, we also launched our AI practice and a first series of Private AI-focussed services. This year, we will share one of our success stories with you, together with our AI partner GLBNXT. This is a session you don’t want to miss! *DUTCH SESSION

(We are pretty sure you have never seen this in a session before!) And for the grand finale: “Dominate the Race, Rule the streets “. Who will claim the title of Physical Endpoint Champion? Start your engines — this is the Need for Physical! *DUTCH SESSION

Automatiseer en visualiseer je vSAN policies

In large enterprise organizations, hundreds or even thousands of VMs are running. Manually assigning the correct vSAN policies to all these VMs is impractical and time-consuming. Requesting VMs has been simplified through the self-service portal, but how do you simplify assigning the optimal vSAN policy? During this session, I will explain how to tackle this challenge using automation and visualization. *DUTCH SESSION

Meet Jesper Alberts: EUC Architect and Digital Experience Advocate

Jesper Alberts is a passionate End-User Computing (EUC) architect from the Netherlands with a deep focus on enhancing the digital employee experience. With a background that spans IT administration, consulting and architecture, Jesper thrives on designing and improving solutions that deliver real value to users and businesses alike. His fascination with IT began early — at the age of six — when he first started tinkering with computers. That curiosity grew into a career rooted in virtualization, sparked during his first internship where he encountered VMware ESX for the first time. The possibilities of virtualization captivated him and shaped the trajectory of his professional path.

From intern to VCDX #301

Over the years, Jesper explored every layer of IT infrastructure before finding his true calling in EUC. In December 2023, after an intense 18-month journey, he earned the highly respected VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) certification in EUC — becoming one of only 20 people worldwide to hold this title in his track, and VCDX #301 overall. This certification recognizes his ability to design and implement IT environments that align with business objectives at the highest level. Jesper is known for his ability to zoom out, see the big picture, and stay calm under pressure — qualities that make him a trusted voice in any team or project setting.

Active in the community and beyond

Outside of project work, Jesper plays an active role in the broader tech community. He is part of the leadership team of vEUC TechCon, a community-driven event focused on the latest trends and best practices in EUC. He also regularly takes the stage as a speaker, sharing insights and learnings with others. When not immersed in technology, Jesper enjoys road cycling across the Netherlands, spending time with his family, or experimenting in his homelab — always learning, always exploring.

Edwin de Bruin

Solutions Architect

I’ve been working in IT for over 20 years now. The last couple of years my main focus has been End User Computing and loving it! I will always try to find the best solution possible, keep an open and no nonsense mindset and getting things done. The biggest lesson I learned? In the end it is not about technology, it’s all about the end user experience. Let’s use technology to create the best user experience possible!

I have been obsessed with everything to do with computers for as long as I can remember. From writing my own software, to building my on PC, it’s who I am! Nowadays I build everything in the virtual space: networks, infrastructures, and the scripts necessary to tie it all together. In addition, I’m learning all about Cyber Security to hopefully make our digital world a safer place.

Richard van Dantzig

IT Consultant

I work in IT since 2004 and during my first year I got the opportunity to do a project with VMware ESX 2.1 for a logistics company and it was love at first sight. The years following I gained knowledge and experience with the enterprise virtualization products of Vmware. As a primary storage engineer the crossover to a all-round virtualization consultant happened with the adoption of IP storage protocols. With the transition of IT due to virtualization to a Software Defined Datacenter my role changed and became broader. With virtualization we can finally connect edge to cloud without borders for business processes and enable people to do better and more in less time. The possibilities are unlimited for organizations and I like to help them to find their solution.

‘It’s all about the business, let’s find the right solution!’

Ever since my first radio controlled car I have been interested in technology. The urge to understand how things work is my motivator to keep on learning and improving myself. It’s this motivation that introduced me to VMware in 2010. And ever since my excitement about VMware has grown and grown. I love to get my hands on new VMware tech and try it out. As I firmly believe that “trying is the first step towards success”.
