After setting up VIDB authentication and adding our AD groups to the administrators role we logged into vcenter with our own admin account and noticed we could not open the hosts section where you Commission hosts and add/edit Network pools:

This is a rights issue with SDDC Manager, you have to add your admin accounts or the group the accounts are in to an additional group within vCenter : SDDCAdmins. you can accomplish this by heading over to “Administration – Users and Groups – Groups” find “SDDCAdmins” in the list and edit the group and add your accounts/group here and save.

After you have done this you should now be able to Commision hosts and view and edit Network Pools from vCenter again. as a workaround you can always use the SSO Admin in vCenter which already has standard access. I have followed found the fix in this KB:
