Erik completed his studies in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Technical University of Rijswijk and began his career as an embedded engineer at Siemens, later working as a developer for companies such as KPN and ASML. After moving into IT administration, he discovered VMware virtualization, a turning point that led him to roles at Dataman, EMC and Dell, where he specialized in Multi Cloud, Infrastructure as Code and Cloud Native technologies. Today, Erik is a Principal Consultant at KPN System Integrator, combining deep technical expertise with a passion for innovation. Outside of work, he applies his engineering mindset to a unique hobby: automating a living paludarium ecosystem that mirrors real time weather data from Costa Rica. Erik’s career reflects a lifelong curiosity and belief that in IT, change truly is the only constant.
